For this project, the customer lives 3,000 miles away and there was no way to scan the helm or pattern through traditional methods. Using dimensions and photographs, the helm was recreated in solid CAD, imported to patterning software and used as the digital avatar. The pattern was then created, fitted, output, sewn and shipped to the customer.
